Houston Blockchain Hackathon Winners
What an awesome way to end a happening week. We won a hackathon, oh yes! As you already know, Houston Exponential organized the first-ever Houston Tech Rodeo last week. Check my blog post about the event.
On the closing day of the Tech Rodeo, Houston Blockchain Alliance along with ion Houston had organized a Blockchain for Smartcities Hackathon code competition. This was a 2-day event at the Houston Exponential with some amazing prices from Microsoft for Startups and The Cannon co-working.
Our co-founder, Yogesh and Nitesh, participated in this hackathon. We presented Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Management on Blockchain with a use case of Complete Communities (a City of Houston initiative). We demonstrated with a mobile app developed using Flutter and Firebase invoking a sample Smart Contract we deployed on Ethereum Blockchain.
For a 2-month-old startup the recognition from judges and mentors is the best part. The free cloud and co-working membership is just a cherry on top.
